ABOUT US
We are the first elephant sanctuary in Koh Yao Yai.
Opened primarily to take care and heal the minds of
retired elephants.
Koh Yao Yai is an island with abundant forests and still
quiet enough for elephant to live peacefully.
OUR ELEPHANT
Super Friendly! Sleepy! Grandma!
She is the first elephant in our place and in Koh Yao Yai. She is now 54 years old. She was born in Surat Thani Province and has been a logging elephant in many provinces in southern of Thailand for over 30 years.

Very Kind! Smart! Father!
He is the mahout or the trainer of Wassana. He been the mahout for wassana 2 years but he has experienced with elephant for 40 years. He not a Koh Yao people but he want to stay in Koh Yao Yai because of Wassana, he said Wassana is the most kind and gentle elephant he ever seen. Wassana is like my daughter!
